At last, she's a graduate!

Philippine culture is very much different from the rest of the countries in the world when it comes to valuing parents.  One of the traits that Filipinos are really proud of is not just being hospitable but being close to their families. Unlike with other countries, you can see most Filipinos who live with their parents even though they already have the family of their own. Helping our parents and making sure that they are living a decent life are like duties for us children that need to be fulfilled. Like others, I also wanted to live with my parents; however my parents didn’t want to live in urban places like where we are at now. As an eldest daughter, I still help my parents in any way possible. I am a married woman with a 3 year old daughter but would you believe if I tell you that I was the one who sent my sister to school? When I chose to start building my own family, I made a promise to my parents that I will send my sister to college. I did it, not because my parents told me but because I felt that it was my obligation to do so. Perhaps, one of the reasons was, I wanted my parents to see how responsible sister I am to my siblings. When my sister first attended college, she took BS Accountancy, but after 2 years, she had to quit and transfer to another course. I sent her to MFI where she took an IT course.  Luckily, my decision was right. Now, I am so proud to let you know that my sister had just graduated college last Friday, October 22. She had graduated with flying colors and I am so happy for her. My sister is now looking for a job as an IT and she too had made a promise to my parents that she will be sending my brother to college. I thank God for my sister will duplicate my own little way of helping our parents. I thank God for all the blessings He showers upon us each day. I thank God for leading our lives and for showing us the right path. I know with God’s guidance, we will all succeed. Most of all, it is not just me and my sister who will be happy, but most importantly, our parents.

  3. Wow. MFI! They've got really good trainers and professors there! I studied a couple of short courses with them and I can really say they're worth every penny.

Congratulations to your sister! I wish her a good/high-paying job asap! :)
